Mitre Fence for LTJ30

NOTE: This is a Mitre Fence for the previous generation 10MinuteWorkshop Loose Tenon Jig 30 - the discontinued CNCd laminated fibreboard loose tenon jig.

This fence will not fit any other jig, and the jig shown in the photos is for reference only, no jig is included or offered - you will receive a fence and a pair of shims.

This accessory fence holds the 10MW LTJ30 jig at a precise angle and allows for loose tenon mortices to be machined in a bevel or mitred cabinet joint.

The fence has a pair of 30mm dogs moulded into the face and they fit snugly into the top two 30mm guide bush holes in body of the LTJ30. I’ve had excellent results simply adding some double-sided tape between the jig and the fence - adding some pressure from a clamp can help. If you prefer to screw the two parts together there’s an access hole through the jig for you to drill a hole and secure it with a screw but note that I'm unsure of the longer term affects of doing this - I recommend using double-sided tape.

The jig will only connect with the LTJ30 body which is used to machine wider mortices; to cut narrower mortices there are a pair of shims supplied that fit into the sides of the guide bush slot to reduce its width; again I’d recommend a small piece of double-sided or masking / painters tape to secure these; when not in use the shims can be stored within the mitre fence itself.

Please note also that the jig colours may fluctuate depending on the availability of filament - these are manufactured on demand and stock levels are hard to control sometimes.
